Vilarnau Rosé Delicat Ecológico, Spain’s best wine

Published on

Organic rosé cava Vilarnau Rosé Delicat has won the “Foods of Spain Prize for the Best Wine”. The award was handed to González Byass CEO Jorge A. Grosse, and Vilarnau’s winemaker Damià Deàs, by Rafael Sandoval, sommelier at the 2 Michelin star restaurant Coque at an event presided over Luis Planas, Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food.

The jury judging these awards was comprised of eminent, top professionals in the wine trade and based its judgement on the wines that achieved top scores in the 2021 International Bacchus Competition, in which this cava won the top distinction for the first time in its history: the “Gran Bacchus”.

This Organic Brut Rosé Reserva is made primarily from red grape varieties Garnacha and a little dash of Pinot Noir. The result is a pale pink cava that offers great aromatic complexity and is very creamy, fresh and elegant.

Vilarnau Rosé Delicat is suitable for vegans and is a perfect companion for rice and pasta dishes and creamy desserts. It is also a great option as a pre-dinner drink or to have early evening at “cava time”, when a chilled drink is just what you need when meeting friends, having a get-together or going for a drink after work.
