Lodged in a beautiful 19th century country house known as Pazo Piñeiro or Casa Bugallal, in the district of Salvaterra do Miño at the very edge of the Rías Baixas Denomination of Origin, Pazos de Lusco places its faith in indigenous varieties and artisan production.
The winery, surrounded by five hectares of Albariño vineyards planted using the traditional pergola system, produces extraordinarily fruity, harmonious, balanced, and acclaimed white wines that are rated as one of the world’s finest Albariños.
The most recent Lusco Albariño vintage, 2019, has reaped excellent results in two of Spain’s major wine ratings. The Premios Baco(Bacchus Awards), the competition that recognises the best young Spanish wines, has awarded a Gold Medal to Lusco Albariño for the third year in a row. The Guía Peñín, for its part, one of Spain’s foremost wine publications, has awarded the D.O.
