Wolfcraig Distillers is an independent Scottish spirits company showcasing premium Scotch Whisky through the combined mastery of two legendary Master Blenders: Richard “The Nose” Paterson OBE and Ian Macmillan. The company was founded in 2020 by Michael Lunn, former CEO of Whyte & Mackay, together with his son Jamie. Their ambition was clear: to create a first-class Scotch Whisky brand rooted in excellence. To bring this vision to life, they enlisted Richard Paterson, a third-generation Master Blender globally recognised for his artistry, charisma, and more than five decades of experience. His accolades include the Icon of Whisky Lifetime Achievement Award, induction into the Whisky Hall of Fame, and recognition on the Queen’s 2021 Honour List.

Recognising the rare opportunity to shape something truly original, Richard invited fellow Master Blender Ian Macmillan to join Wolfcraig. With over 100 years of combined experience between them, their partnership is unparalleled in the industry. Together, they lead the creation of Wolfcraig’s “Hand-Crafted Series,” a collection of small-batch, aged Blended Scotch Whiskies featuring exceptional malts and grains sourced from all five Scottish whisky regions. Each release celebrates the precision, patience, and artistry of blending.

The name Wolfcraig draws inspiration from a Scottish folklore tale in which wolves and soldiers united to protect Stirling Castle from invasion — a story of unity, courage, and pride that echoes the brand’s spirit. Guided by this legacy, Wolfcraig seeks to merge heritage and craftsmanship with a contemporary edge, presenting Scotland’s finest to a global audience. Every bottle is limited-edition, meticulously crafted, and designed to evoke the wonder and character of Scotland itself.
