Wolfcraig Distillers is an independent Scottish spirits company showcasing premium Scotch Whisky through the expertise of two of the industry’s most celebrated Master Blenders, Richard “The Nose” Paterson OBE and Ian Macmillan. Based in Glasgow, Wolfcraig blends tradition, innovation, and storytelling to create luxury small-batch whiskies that embody Scotland’s heritage for connoisseurs worldwide.
The company was founded in 2020 by Michael Lunn, former CEO of Whyte & Mackay, together with his son, entrepreneur Jamie Lunn. Determined to create a first-class Scotch Whisky brand, the family enlisted Richard Paterson, a third-generation Master Blender globally renowned for his craft and charisma. With more than five decades of experience, Richard has been honoured with the Icon of Whisky Lifetime Achievement Award, inducted into the Whisky Hall of Fame, and named to the Queen’s 2021 Honour List.
Recognising the rare opportunity to build something truly distinctive, Richard invited fellow Master Blender Ian Macmillan to join Wolfcraig. Between them, they bring more than 100 years of expertise, a partnership unparalleled in the industry. Together, they lead the creation of Wolfcraig’s “Hand-Crafted Series”, small-batch and aged Blended Scotch Whiskies that highlight the very finest malts and grains from all five Scottish whisky regions. Each release is designed to showcase the artistry of blending and to be enjoyed in life’s most memorable moments.
The name Wolfcraig is inspired by a Scottish folklore tale in which wolves and soldiers united to defend Stirling Castle from invasion. This story of unity, courage, and pride defines the spirit of the brand.
Wolfcraig’s vision is to combine heritage and craftsmanship with a modern edge, showcasing the very best of Scotland to a global audience. Every bottle is limited-edition and meticulously crafted, to make you think of Scotland and all its wonders.
