Make plans with wine at home

Published on

It might not seem possible, but there are ideas for things to do at home that you can enjoy and are related to our shared great passion: wine. We will be attempting to come up with activities to recommend that will give you further insights into this world whilst providing some light relief from the current situation.

Our suggestions for this week include a guided tour of the world of Sherry wines led by Antonio Flores, a question and answer session on Vilarnau Rosé with Eva Plazas, the cava’s winemaker, and a “cocktail challenge” that Silvia Flores, Assistant Winemaker, will set for Álvaro Plata, Area Manager & Brand Ambassador for González Byass.  Lastly, we would encourage you to raise a glass with Antonio Flores to celebrate something special. Are you up for it?

The Pillars of Jerez

The secrets of Sherry wine are revealed in “The Pillars of Jerez”. Antonio Flores, González Byass’ winemaker, runs through how these wines are made, from the vine to the glass. Once you have tasted them, you will always want more.

All the videos are on the Bodegas Tío Pepe Youtube channel: https://bit.ly/2UOi56x

Live tasting of Vilarnau Rosé Delicat

What about planning an after work cava tasting with its creator? If you like the idea, Eva Plazas, Vilarnau’s winemaker, will explain on Instagram Live how to enjoy Vilarnau Rosé Delicat.

When and where? Thursday 2nd April at 19.00

on Vilarnau’s Instagram Live: https://www.instagram.com/cavesvilarnau/?hl=es

Bartender Challenge

What is the “cocktail challenge” that Silvia Flores will be setting Álvaro Plata? Via Instagram, Silvia will be crossing the Atlantic to Miami to set the challenge for Álvaro to demonstrate his creativity.

When and where? Thursday 2nd April at 20.15

Solidarity toast

Antonio Flores suggests raising a glass to toast the day after: the day we will go back onto the streets, fill the bars, restaurants and taverns, swoop on the food stalls, laugh, dance and give each other hugs. Raise your glass tomorrow with the winemaker, from 18.00 on the  Bodegas Tío Pepe Youtube channel.
