González Byass Named One of the World’s Best Wineries
We’re proud to share that González Byass in Jerez de la Frontera has been ranked 8th in the World’s 50 Best Wineries, as selected by the expert judging panel at Virgin Wines. The list recognises wineries that embody heritage, sustainability and forward-thinking innovation, all qualities that have shaped our family-owned business since 1835.
This recognition reflects nearly two centuries of dedication to craftsmanship, from our leadership in the Sherry category to our long-term commitment to sustainable vineyard management, renewable energy and regenerative viticulture. At a time when authenticity and environmental responsibility matter more than ever, it is rewarding to see these values acknowledged on a global stage.
What makes this achievement even more meaningful is to see wineries we proudly represent in the UK also included. In particular, Domäne Wachau, ranked No. 25 on the list, clearly showed its prowess for its distinctive terroir, deep heritage and world-class winemaking.
Being named among the world’s best is more than a milestone. It is a celebration of the partnerships, passion and purpose that drive our work every day. It showcases exceptional quality while sharing a commitment to sustainability, innovation and a strong sense of place.
Here’s to our winemakers, our global partners and everyone across the UK trade who supports these wines. Cheers to many more successes ahead!
