Getaria Txakolina, a northern Spanish DO, is known for its unique wines and grape varieties. Most Txakoli is enjoyed locally, prized for fresh acidity and low alcohol—perfect with Basque seafood. The Tueka-Etxaniz family, winemakers since 1649, tend steep vineyards by the sea.

The estate remains family-run, with 13 of 16 employees from the family. Ondarrabi Zuri and Ondarrabi Beltza grapes are trained high to improve airflow in this rainy, sea-misted climate. Wines age on lees, retain slight spritz, and are poured traditionally via the ‘escanciador’.
