Caldora, part of the Fantini group, is located in the Abruzzo region of Italy, on the Adriatic coast.
Caldora has a special arrangement with the many growers who own over 1,500 hectares of land in the two coastal provinces of Teramo to the north and Chieti to the south. The award-winning winemaking team carefully selects the best portions of each vineyard depending on clones, position in the vineyard and age of vines. They then direct the farming of these vineyard rows including reducing the yield per vine, to ensure the highest quality grapes. This arrangement means they are not actually buying grapes, but rather renting vineyards or portions of vineyards.
Since most of the vineyards are family owned, they tend to be smaller allowing complete harvesting of all properties in about 3 days. This means they can afford to wait for the optimum time to harvest. The families take pride in their work, and are also better compensated.
Theirs are modern style wines made with predominantly indigenous grapes such as Montepulciano d’Abruzzo, and Trebbiano d’Abruzzo, but also include some international varieties. They are fresh and aromatic, balanced and fruit forward, and great representations of the region.
From the hills of Abruzzo, Caldora Montepulciano d’Abruzzo reveals ripe cherry, plum and soft spice notes. Smooth, balanced and expressive — a true taste of Italy’s Adriatic soul.

Fresh and elegant, Caldora Chardonnay captures the coastal essence of Abruzzo with notes of tropical fruit, citrus and white flowers. Balanced, smooth and vibrant — pure Italian sunshine in a glass.

Bright and fruity, Caldora Sangiovese delivers aromas of red cherry, raspberry and soft spice. Medium-bodied and smooth, it reflects the warmth and charm of Abruzzo’s coastal vineyards.

Rich and velvety, Yume Montepulciano d’Abruzzo expresses ripe black cherry, plum and cocoa aromas. Full-bodied and smooth, it embodies the passion and intensity of southern Italy.
