Vistorta is a historic family estate in Friuli-Venezia Giulia, a region celebrated for its balance of Alpine freshness and Adriatic influence. Owned by the Brandolini d’Adda family since 1780, the estate has evolved into a benchmark for refined, terroir-driven Merlot. Guided by generations of agricultural knowledge and a profound respect for the land, Vistorta has built a philosophy centred on harmony between nature, tradition and modern enology.
The vineyard lies around the ancient Villa Vistorta, surrounded by fields, waterways and centuries-old architecture that reflect the estate’s deep agricultural roots. Its soils—rich in clay, alluvial sediments and mineral complexity—offer ideal conditions for Merlot, giving the wines depth, elegance and longevity. Low yields, organic practices and meticulous vineyard work ensure that each parcel expresses the essence of the Friulian terroir.
In the cellar, Vistorta combines precision and restraint. Fermentation takes place in temperature-controlled wooden vats, and ageing is carried out in carefully selected French oak to enhance finesse without overshadowing the fruit’s purity. The result is a style of Merlot that is unmistakably Italian: vibrant yet structured, generous yet balanced, capable of evolving beautifully over time.
Vistorta’s wines are crafted to reflect a sense of place and history. They are not simply bottles, but chapters of a family legacy—an ongoing dialogue between land, climate and craftsmanship. Today, under the guidance of Count Giannandrea Brandolini d’Adda, Vistorta continues to refine its identity, producing wines that honour tradition while embracing a contemporary vision of elegance, authenticity and sustainability.
