Produced in a boutique winery of the same name, Blecua is considered one of Spain’s most iconic red wines. Surrounded by 14 hectares in the heart of Somontano, the beautiful Blecua house dates back to the end of the 19th century when it was used as a retreat for the Benedictine monks at Santa Fe de Conques.
Blecua is only produced in the best years from a triple selection of the best vineyards, best bunches and best barrels. It is produced in very limited quantities and each release of Blecua is unique.
Blecua is an iconic wine from Somontano, crafted from a meticulous selection of the estate’s finest vineyards. This expressive blend reveals deep aromas of ripe black fruit, roasted notes, spices and subtle hints of chocolate and eucalyptus. Full-bodied and structured, it shows excellent balance, firm yet polished tannins and remarkable depth. Long aging in French oak delivers complexity, elegance and a persistent finish with outstanding aging potential.
