Australia Trade Tasting 2023

Published on

Kicking off a new year of tastings with our agency powerhouse brand Wirra Wirra and the ever-elegant Ashton Hills at the Australia Trade Tasting in London.

Seek us out, say hello, partake in the obligatory January ritual that is commenting on the cold weather, and then most importantly, taste the excellent selection of wines we will have on offer! You can still sneak in a registration via email - details here

‘Brilliant Wines. Healthy Vines. Serious Fun’ is Wirra Wirra’s motto, and from the household favourite, Church Block, through to the premium offerings of the RSW Shiraz and Absconder Grenache, there is an outstanding offering of consistent quality for each segment of the market. Information on the entire range is available in the 'Wineries and Brands' section of our website.

The newest addition to the Wirra family, the 2021 MVCG Cabernet Sauvignon, will be on show and is described by James Suckling as having “A rather perfumed and savoury nose of grilled meat, grilled plum, ground spice and black liquorice’’. While the late founder of Wirra Wirra’s dream of building the 'McLaren Vale Cricket Ground’ never came to fruition, this aptly named cabernet sauvignon pays homage to his big, bold, and at times farcical, ideas.

Ashton Hills has built a reputation as one of Australia’s finest proponents of pinot noir and cool climate wines. Also a newcomer, the 2021 Piccadilly Valley Pinot Noir was recently selected as part of Matthew Jukes 100 best Australian Wines and will round off a stellar line up that represents the unparalleled consistency and quality of Australian winemaking.

Awards a plenty, across the IWC, IWSC and Decanter, Wirra Wirra has been awarded some serious metal. Should you like more detailed information on the trophy cabinet, do not hesitate to get in touch.

See you there!
