González Byass Publishes Its Annual Sustainability Report, Reinforcing Its Commitment to People and the Planet
As part of its long‑standing commitment to transparency and accountability, González Byass has released its annual Sustainability Report, detailing the company’s environmental, social, and governance progress during the last financial year (1 September 2024 – 31 August 2025). All initiatives outlined in the report are driven by the People+Planet Plan, the company’s strategic framework dedicated to protecting the environment and enhancing people’s well‑being.
Key Sustainability Milestones
Over the past year, González Byass has continued to make significant strides across its sustainability pillars. Among the most notable achievements:
- Reduction of Scope 1 and 2 emissions by 22%
- 55% renewable energy usage, with 16% self-generated
- 64% of vineyard area certified as sustainable
- Continued progress on the VIDas biodiversity project, implementing new measures to support ecosystems in our vineyards
- Participation in 22 R&D&I projects, 75% of them focused on sustainability
- Maintenance of five wineries certified with the Sustainable Wineries for Climate Protection seal
- 30% increase in internal training, reinforcing the company’s commitment to talent development
- Implementation of multiple social action initiatives, including charity runs, the Beronia con corazón wine initiative, and support campaigns for communities affected by the DANA
