Domaine Testut is a 13-hectare family-owned wine estate located in the historic heart of Chablis, France, managed by winemaker Cyril Testut. Cyril’s father Philippe had a passion for winemaking and carried out his first harvest in the region in 1963.
The estate is a pure and authentic expression of Chablis. Cyril Testut follows a clear and demanding philosophy: to respect nature and allow each terroir to express its true identity. Working vineyards deeply rooted in the history of Chablis, on land once shaped by Cistercian monks. Average vine age is over 40 years for Village Chablis and over 50 years for Premier Cru and Grand Cru parcels.
Cyril approaches his vines with patience and precision. He believes that a winemaker’s role is not to control nature, but to understand and guide it.
In 2023 the estate was acquired by Maison Brocard however the wines are still produced by Cyril. Julien Brocard and Cyril Testut share the same high standards: to accurately reveal the expression of their terroir. Their passion for wine is common. Their approach to the vine, however, has evolved over time. Today, the conviction is shared: taking care of the living soil means protecting the vine sustainably and preparing for the future.
Chablis Vieilles Vignes is an elegant white wine made from 100% Chardonnay grapes grown on 50-year-old vines in the heart of Chablis, Burgundy. Rooted in clay-limestone soils, it reveals delicate aromas of white flowers, citrus and toasted notes. The palate is rich, fresh and beautifully balanced, with a smooth texture and a long, elegant finish. Chablis Premier Cru Montée de Tonnerre is an exceptional white wine made from 100% Chardonnay grapes grown on vines over 60 years old in clay-limestone soils. It displays a pale gold colour and delicate aromas of white flowers, citrus and saline notes. The palate is rich and powerful, with remarkable mineral precision, depth and a long, harmonious finish. An elegant expression of Chablis, ideal for pairing with sushi, tuna carpaccio and scallops.
Chablis Grand Cru Grenouille is an exceptional white wine made from 100% Chardonnay grapes grown on 50-year-old vines in clay-limestone soils. One of Chablis’ most sought-after Grand Crus, it stands out for its finesse, purity and elegance. Delicate aromas of white flowers, citrus, mint and liquorice lead to a rich, smooth palate with distinctive saline minerality and remarkable length.
